Stardew Valley gameplay challenges for experienced players
Players of Stardew Valley can extend the longevity of their experience by implementing self-imposed challenges to prevent gameplay repetition.
Proposed challenges include reaching a goal of 10 million gold coins within the first year through extreme resource optimization, or achieving a perfect score of 21 points on the Grandparent evaluation before the start of the third year. Other methods involve shifting the economic focus, such as prioritizing animal products over crops by filling all barns and coops before planting any seeds, or adopting a vegetarian farm model that excludes meat and fish from the economy.
More extreme variations include a post-apocalyptic survival mode where players must navigate a world with contaminated land and water, making rain days a necessity for indoor activities.
