Starflyer resumes Kitakyushu-Taipei international flights
Starflyer has resumed its regular international service between Kitakyushu Airport and Taoyuan (Taipei) after a hiatus of approximately six and a half years. The resumption, driven by rising inbound tourism demand, saw the first flight arrive at Kitakyushu on the morning of September 3.
The route will operate three round trips per week. To leverage Kitakyushu Airport’s 24-hour operational capacity, the schedule features late-night departures from Kitakyushu and early-morning arrivals from Taipei, facilitating efficient travel for both tourists and business passengers.
During a ceremony at Kitakyushu Airport, local officials, including the Mayor of Kitakyushu and the Vice Governor of Fukuoka Prefecture, celebrated the return of the service. They noted the importance of strengthening ties between Taiwan and the Kyushu region, particularly in light of growing economic connections in sectors such as semiconductors.
