Starling releases free Linux desktop, office suite, and SDK

Startup Starling has released a suite of free, AI-accelerated software tools, including a Linux desktop environment, an office productivity suite, a terminal application, and a specialized SDK.

The Starling Desktop is available for Ubuntu 26.04 LTS and Windows via WSL2, offering a traditional 2D interface alongside an experimental 3D desktop. The Starling Office suite includes Writer, Slides, and Sheets, which are designed to function similarly to Microsoft Office and are compatible with Linux, Mac, and Windows.

Additionally, the company has launched the Starling Terminal, a native application for Linux, Mac, and Windows, and the Starling SDK, which allows for the use of Swift to build software environments.
