Starlink expands presence in Mexico through strategic corporate partnerships
SpaceX's satellite internet service, Starlink, maintains several strategic partnerships with major companies listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV).
Volaris has reached an agreement to provide high-speed Wi-Fi across its entire aircraft fleet starting in 2027. This partnership, supported by Indigo Partners, aims to make Volaris the first airline in Mexico to offer Starlink connectivity during all flight phases. While the service will be a paid add-on, specific pricing has not yet been determined.
Additionally, Televisa's enterprise services firm, Bestel, has partnered with Starlink to provide satellite connectivity to businesses operating in remote or difficult-to-access areas of Mexico. Axtel is also noted as having ties to the service.
