Starlink to launch satellite internet services in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Minister of Transport and Communications, Edin Forto, has announced that Starlink satellite internet services will begin operating in the country within days or weeks. Following a meeting in Sarajevo with Rebecca Slick Hunter, Starlink's Director for Global Licensing and Market Activation, the minister noted that the service provides critical infrastructure that could compensate for the country's current lack of advanced broadband development.

Forto emphasized that the satellite network is essential for national progress, allowing citizens and companies to access high-speed internet. There are also plans to potentially collaborate with Starlink to connect schools in areas where existing broadband infrastructure is underdeveloped.

Starlink, owned by SpaceX, utilizes a constellation of thousands of small satellites to provide low-latency internet access globally. Information regarding specific pricing for services within Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to be released in the near future.
