Starlux Airlines launches first direct Prague‑Taipei flight
Starlux Airlines inaugurated a direct service between Prague, Czech Republic and Taipei, Taiwan. The new route operates three times weekly at launch, with a planned increase to four flights per week from October. Initially an Airbus A350‑900 equipped with four cabin classes and 306 seats will be used; from September the airline will introduce two Airbus A350‑1000 aircraft in a special silver‑and‑gold livery. The flight covers roughly 9,000 km in about 13 hours. Round‑trip fares start at approximately 26,000 CZK, while first‑class tickets are priced around US$12,000. Starlux expects the route to carry about 95,000 passengers in its first year and sees Prague as its first European destination, linking travelers to a broader Asian network that includes Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and other cities.
