Starship Troopers: Extermination releases Update 13 with Hopper Bugs
Starship Troopers: Extermination is celebrating its second anniversary with the release of Update 13, which introduces the Hopper Bug to the game. Developed by Offworld and published by Knights Peak, this free update adds flying arachnids inspired by the 1997 film to the cooperative shooter.
Hopper Bugs act as winged versions of Warrior Bugs, attacking in compact formations from above. They are designed to target isolated soldiers, grabbing them and carrying them away, which forces players to monitor the sky and adapt defensive strategies. Additionally, the falling bodies of defeated Hopper Bugs can cause significant damage to soldiers on the ground.
Alongside the gameplay update, the Gore Supporter Pack has been released. This cosmetic pack, priced at $4.99 or €4.99, includes customizations for helmets, weapons, uniforms, and player identification elements.
