StarTech: Friuli Venezia Giulia Region calls for extraordinary administration
The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region is calling for the initiation of extraordinary administration for StarTech to protect its Trieste plant and preserve local employment. This position was presented during a meeting at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy in Rome, aimed at addressing the industrial and employment crisis facing the electronic components manufacturer.
Regional assessors Alessia Rosolen and Sergio Emidio Bini stated that extraordinary administration is the only viable path to facilitate a reindustrialization process that safeguards the site and its workers. This stance is supported by local trade unions, metalworkers' organizations, and Confindustria Alto Adriatico. The stakeholders emphasized the need for a process characterized by clarity, transparency, and the protection of employees.
