Startup and engineering competitions conclude in Poland

Two distinct technical and innovation competitions recently concluded in Poland, highlighting advancements in engineering education and artificial intelligence startups.

In Katowice, the inaugural IFIRMA Startup Contest 2026 took place during the AIBA conference at the Silesian Museum. Eight finalists, including Echo Sense, HelpClinic, LegalFlow, OpenBrand, Polimio, PromptEye, SKRIBU, and Zapam, presented AI-driven solutions ranging from health monitoring to legal support. The event, supported by the Silesian Startup Foundation, aimed to connect innovative companies with investors and business experts.

Separately, the CPKZ hosted the final of its fifth-grade project competition for technical students. Participants utilized Industry Skills Center (BCU) laboratories to demonstrate proficiency in 3D modeling, microcontroller programming, and electronic circuit design. Due to a tie in scoring, first and second place awards were shared among several student teams, including projects such as a CNC milling machine and a king's orb.
