Stary Młyn investment costs rise in Radom
The Stary Młyn investment project near the Borki reservoir in Radom has seen its costs increase by more than 1.19 million PLN. The total cost of the project is now estimated at 8.35 million PLN, up from the original contract value of approximately 7.16 million PLN.
According to MOSiR, the price hike is due to the poor technical condition of the existing building's ground floor and foundations, which made it impossible to use them as a base for the superstructure. This necessitated a wider demolition and the design of a new foundation in the form of a foundation slab.
Additional costs are also expected due to the need for a perimeter drainage system to manage rainwater appearing near the new foundation slab. Further contract amendments are anticipated following changes in the replacement documentation. The current completion date for the investment is set for April 30, 2027.
