STASY reports increased metro trips and revenue in 2026

STASY S.A. reported a significant increase in transport activity and revenue for the first eight months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. The data shows an increase of 4,139 total trips across the three metro lines, with Line 3 seeing the highest growth of 2,835 additional trips.

Ticket validations for metro and tram services rose by 6.27%, reaching approximately 149.4 million. This growth was accompanied by a 6.9% increase in fare revenue. The company attributed these trends to higher demand for the Attica fixed-track network and intensified efforts to combat fare evasion.

To address fare evasion, ticket inspections saw a substantial increase of 57.5%, rising from approximately 2.95 million inspections in the first eight months of 2025 to over 4.65 million in 2026. The average monthly number of inspections grew from 369,144 to 581,318.
