State Bank of India announces 1,538 Clerk vacancies

The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a special recruitment drive for 1,538 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) positions. These openings consist of backlog vacancies specifically designated for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.

Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university and fall within the age range of 20 to 28 years as of April 1, 2026. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories. The application process is open online from August 7 to August 27, 2026, via the official SBI website.

The selection process involves three stages: a preliminary qualifying examination, a main examination that determines final selection, and a local language proficiency test (LLPT). Applicants can only apply for a single State or Union Territory and must demonstrate proficiency in the local language of the chosen region.
