State Bank of India pension fund AUM hits Rs 6 lakh crore, Q1 profit up 3%

SBI Pension Funds, the pension fund manager under India's National Pension System, announced that its assets under management have crossed the Rs 6 lakh crore mark. The fund now serves more than 1.85 crore subscribers across government, corporate and retail segments and holds about 34% of the Indian pension fund market.

SBI Funds Management reported a 3% year‑on‑year increase in standalone profit after tax for the quarter ended June 2026, posting Rs 873 crore. Total income rose 5% to Rs 1,385 crore and the mutual‑fund average assets under management reached Rs 12.6 lakh crore, giving the firm a 15.1% market share. The company, a joint venture between State Bank of India and France‑based Amundi, made its stock‑market debut last month.
