State DIF President visits Plan Vida elderly care center

Car Herrera de Kuri, president of the Patronato del Sistema Estatal DIF, visited the Plan Vida Metropolitan Human Development Center to review services provided to approximately 1,500 elderly residents. The center offers a variety of workshops and activities, including music, crafts, sports, physical conditioning, dance, yoga, technology, English, and painting.

During the visit, Herrera de Kuri emphasized that elderly care is a state administration priority. She highlighted existing initiatives such as the Office for the Protection of the Elderly, the Food Assistance Program for Subjects in Extreme Vulnerability, and the maintenance of elderly individuals placed under the care of the State DIF.

Accompanied by Director General Óscar Gómez Niembro, Herrera de Kuri noted that the Plan Vida center serves as a model for alternative spaces operating in various municipalities, particularly within vulnerable communities.
