State of Mexico health workers receive delayed salary payments
Health sector workers in the State of Mexico, including those affiliated with IMSS-Bienestar and ISEM, have begun receiving delayed salary payments for the first fortnight of August. The deposits started appearing in various bank accounts between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning following several days of delays and protests by staff.
Labor unions, including the Sindicato Independiente Nacional de Trabajadores de la Salud (SINTS), reported that the delays were unique to the State of Mexico and did not affect workers in other states. In addition to the timing issues, some employees reported receiving incomplete payments, with some workers noting unexplained deductions of approximately 300 pesos from their expected totals.
Union representatives stated that the payments were released after dialogue with state authorities. Workers expressed frustration over the lack of official communication regarding the delay during the period of uncertainty.
