State of Mexico Judiciary trains 105 expert witnesses

One hundred and five expert witnesses from the Judiciary of the State of Mexico have completed an update workshop titled “International standards of scientificity in the preparation of expert reports: science, methodology and argumentation.” The 30-hour training program, held from September 7 to 28, was organized by the Judicial Administration Body in coordination with the Judicial School of the State of Mexico.

The initiative aims to provide expert witnesses with enhanced scientific knowledge to improve the quality and reliability of their reports, which serve as fundamental support for judges in judicial determinations. Magistrate Elizabeth Rodríguez Colín noted that the training establishes minimum criteria for structure and content to strengthen the reliability of judicial processes.

Magistrate José Luis Embris Vásquez, Director of the Judicial School, emphasized that the acquired knowledge should be applied directly to benefit citizens seeking justice by putting scientific expertise at the service of the law.
