State of Mexico launches second phase of school enrollment for 2026
The Government of the State of Mexico announced the opening of the second phase of the Sistema Anticipado de Inscripción y Distribución (SAID) for the 2026‑2027 school year. The period runs from 6 to 26 August and is divided into three windows: 6‑12 August for school‑transfer requests by students already enrolled in intermediate grades of public schools; 13‑19 August for plantel changes by families that completed the ordinary pre‑registration; and 20‑26 August for new registrations of children who missed the ordinary process, covering first‑through‑third grades of preschool, first grade of primary and first grade of secondary.
Parents, guardians and tutors must complete the free, personal application exclusively through the official portal of the State of Mexico. The initiative, presented by Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez and Secretary of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Miguel Ángel Hernández Espejel, aims to guarantee access to basic education with equity, transparency and attention to family needs, subject to space availability at each school.
