State of Mexico opens third 2026 adoption call
The Government of the State of Mexico has launched its third adoption call for 2026, aimed at ensuring children and adolescents have the right to live in a family environment. The process is managed by the Subdirección de Adopciones y Familias de Acogida, under the Procuraduría de Protección de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes of the DIF Estado de México.
Eligible applicants include individuals over the age of 21, single persons, civilly married couples, and partners in a common-law marriage (concubinato) supported by a family court ruling. Applicants may reside in the State of Mexico, other parts of the country, or abroad.
The application period runs from August 24 to September 4, with office hours from 9:00 to 17:30. Interested parties can visit the offices located at Andrés Quintana Roo Norte 1212, Villa Hogar, Toluca. The process includes documentation review, sensitization training regarding adoption realities, and compatibility studies. The adoption process holds ISO 9001:2015 certification.
