State of Mexico to host Second International Congress of Education

The Government of the State of Mexico will host the Second International Congress of Education from August 19 to 21. Titled ‘La Nueva Escuela Mexicana en acción. Hacia una comunidad educativa humanista y pluriversal’, the event aims to create spaces for dialogue and the exchange of experiences regarding contemporary educational challenges.

Organized by the State of Mexico Ministry of Education (SECTI), the congress will feature specialists from Mexico, the United States, Serbia, Switzerland, Spain, and Peru. Topics of discussion include critical pedagogy, educational policy analysis, teacher training, socio-emotional well-being, and intercultural education.

Notable international participants include Henry Giroux from the United States, an expert in critical pedagogy and democratic education; Tanja Vujicic from Serbia, a specialist in school improvement; and Rakesh Krishnan from Switzerland, an expert in international relations and institutional leadership. From Spain, the event will include Miguel Ángel Santos Guerra, a specialist in educational evaluation, and Rafael Bisquerra, a prominent figure in emotional education.
