In Santa Catarina, the state phase of the School Games (JESC) kicks off on 26 June in São Miguel do Oeste and runs until 4 July. Athletes aged 12‑14 will contest a wide program including athletics, futsal, handball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, judo, karate, taekwondo, chess, wrestling, volleyball, beach volleyball, cycling, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics. Champions in each discipline qualify for the Brazilian School Games later in the year.
