State Street launches first active credit ETFs on Australian market
State Street Investment Management announced the launch of two actively managed exchange‑traded funds in Australia – the State Street® Blackstone Senior Loan (AUD Hedged) Active ETF (SBSL) and the State Street® Blackstone High Income (AUD Hedged) Active ETF (SBHI). Both ETFs will list on the Australian Securities Exchange on 7 August 2026 and operate as feeder funds that invest in the U.S.‑domiciled State Street Blackstone Senior Loan ETF and State Street Blackstone High Income ETF.
SBSL targets sub‑investment‑grade floating‑rate senior secured bank loans, while SBHI offers an income‑focused allocation across liquid credit markets, including high‑yield corporate bonds, senior loans and CLO tranches. The products are sub‑advised by Blackstone, the world’s largest private‑credit manager, and expand State Street’s Australian ETF portfolio to 19 funds. The launch coincides with the 25th anniversary of the first ETFs listed in Australia.
