Stathis Mantzoros shows signs of recovery after severe stroke
Greek actor Stathis Mantzoros is showing signs of improvement 13 months after suffering a severe stroke. According to his colleague Michalis Aerakis and his wife Antonia Kalantzi, the actor has begun to recognize people and can move his hands, though he is still unable to speak.
Mantzoros has been receiving treatment at Evangelismos Hospital (referred to as ‘Erythros Stavros’ in reports). His family is now seeking financial assistance to facilitate his transfer to a specialized private rehabilitation center. This move is considered critical to avoid infections and provide the intensive care required due to his tracheostomy.
Antonia Kalantzi stated that the cost for such specialized care, which includes Intensive Care Units (ICU) and organized medical teams, is approximately €10,000 per month. The family and colleagues have issued a public appeal for financial support to cover these ongoing medical expenses.
