Stationary energy storage market set for growth through 2037

The market for stationary energy storage batteries is projected to see sustained growth over the next decade, driven by the expansion of variable renewable energy and the rise of new infrastructure like data centers. A new research report from IDTechEx, titled ‘Batteries for Stationary Energy Storage 2027-2037’, provides a detailed analysis of the lithium-ion battery energy storage system (BESS) market, covering technical trends, costs, supply chains, and regional forecasts for major markets including China, the US, and Japan.

In response to these industry shifts, Japan Branding Co., Ltd., the Japanese general agent for GUS Technology batteries, will host a webinar in early October 2026. The session will focus on the benefits of co-locating solar power plants with grid-scale storage systems. This integration aims to mitigate the challenges of solar power intermittency and reduce output curtailment by capturing excess energy during peak production hours for later use.
