Statistics Sweden launches national citizen survey

Statistics Sweden (SCB) is conducting a national citizen survey this autumn on behalf of approximately 150 Swedish municipalities, including Säffle and Region Gotland. The initiative aims to collect resident opinions regarding municipal operations, service quality, and the perceived level of influence citizens have on local decision-making.

Participants, who are selected randomly, will be asked to evaluate various sectors such as education, healthcare, housing, public safety, transportation, and integration. The data collected serves as a tool for internal improvement within the municipalities and allows for comparisons between different regions and tracking changes over time.

In Säffle, approximately 1,200 residents have been selected to participate. In Gotland, about 1,400 residents will receive the survey. Responses can be submitted either digitally or via paper forms, with varying deadlines depending on the method used.
