Survivor winner Stavos Floros scheduled for July 9 surgery, hopes to return to Greece in August

Stavos Floros, the 22‑year‑old winner of the Greek reality show Survivor, remains in a rehabilitation centre in the United States after a severe injury that led to the amputation of his left foot and serious damage to his right leg. His parents told Greek media that he is slated for a further operation on 9 July to remove the metal hardware from his right leg.

The family said the procedure is a “battle of endurance” and expressed hope that, once the surgery is completed, Floros could travel back to Greece in August for continued rehabilitation. His mother noted that his right leg is “progressing well” and that he is regaining strength, while also mentioning that recent bleeding in the left leg was successfully stopped.

Floros has remained upbeat, smiling despite the challenges, and his doctors in the United States remain optimistic about his recovery and potential return to full function.
