Stavanger tunnels to close for routine inspections

Statens vegvesen has announced scheduled inspections for three tunnels in Stavanger, necessitating temporary closures for safety reasons involving both workers and motorists.

The Hundvågtunnelen will be closed from October 13 at 22:00 until October 14 at 06:00. The Eiganestunnelen is scheduled to close from October 14 at 22:00 until October 15 at 06:00. Additionally, around 02:00 on October 15, the Hundvågtunnelen, Eiganestunnelen, and Byhaugtunnelen will all undergo a brief simultaneous closure lasting up to 30 minutes.

These are routine inspections conducted as part of the agency's fixed regime to monitor the condition of the road network.
