Stavros Floros gets video call from Maria Antona as rehab continues

Radio producer and presenter Maria Antona shared a video call with former Survivor winner Stavros Floros, posting the exchange on Instagram Stories. In the clip Floros appears smiling despite the serious injuries he sustained in an accident on the Greek island of Agios Dominikos, which required the amputation of his left foot and left his right foot badly injured.

Floros is currently undergoing an intensive rehabilitation program in Miami, USA. His family reports gradual improvement and daily physiotherapy. A surgery to remove pins from his right foot is scheduled for 9 July, and his father said a specialised rehabilitation centre in Athens is expected to receive him later in July. Turkish producer Ajun Ilitjajli has provided financial assistance to the family. Maria Antona praised Floros on social media, writing, “Prototype of strength and life! The sweetest child in the world.”
