Stavros Floros recovers after eight‑hour successful foot surgery in Miami
Greek reality‑show contestant Stavros Floros, 22, remained hospitalized in Miami after a serious accident off the island of Saint Dominic, where a passing speedboat struck him while he was spearfishing with friend Mano Malliaros. The crash caused a partial amputation of his left leg and severe injuries to his right ankle, requiring multiple operations. On May 28, surgeons completed an eight‑hour operation on his right foot, which the family said was a complete success and that no further surgery on that foot will be needed. Doctors are optimistic about his recovery.
Within the next ten days Floros is expected to be transferred to a specialized rehabilitation centre, where he will begin physiotherapy. He will stay in Miami for the remainder of his rehab, return briefly to Greece in August, and plan to travel abroad again in September for fitting of a prosthetic limb once the wound has fully healed. He has received extensive support from fans and media figure Acun Ilıcalı.
