Stavros Floros returns to Greece after leg amputation, reunites with friend Manos Malliaros

Stavros Floros, the 22‑year‑old winner of Survivor Greece, was seriously injured while spearfishing in the Dominican Republic when a speedboat struck him. The impact required the amputation of his left leg below the knee. He spent roughly two months in a rehabilitation centre in Miami, USA, before flying back to Greece in mid‑July 2026.

At Athens' Eleftherios Venizelos airport Floros was greeted by family, friends and supporters, and posted a video captioned “My left leg”. Shortly after his arrival he met former teammate Manos Malliaros, who had helped pull him from the water during the accident. The two spent a day together on an excursion to Mesoropi, Kavala, where Malliaros lifted Floros onto his back to navigate difficult terrain. Malliaros shared the moment on Instagram, writing, “I waited for this moment all my life… Welcome back, brother. Iron‑strong.” Floros thanked him, describing the reunion as a source of strength as he continues his rehabilitation.
