Survivor winner Stauros Floros returns to Greece after severe accident
Stauros Floros, the 22‑year‑old winner of the Greek reality show "Survivor," suffered a serious propeller‑blade injury while fishing near Agios Dominikos. The impact amputated his left foot and badly damaged his right ankle.
He was air‑lifted to a military hospital in Miami, where he underwent multiple surgeries and began an intensive rehabilitation program. After about two months abroad, Floros flew back to Greece, posting a photo from the airport showing him smiling in a wheelchair.
Since his return, he has resumed light activity, including playing basketball while seated in a wheelchair, and his father announced a further operation on his right foot is scheduled for early July. The family also received financial support from Turkish producer Ajun Ilıcali. Floros continues his recovery in a specialized centre in Athens, with his family by his side.
