Stavros Kalafatis commemorates Macedonian Front anniversary in Kilkis

Deputy Minister of Development Stavros Kalafatis attended ceremonies in the Paionia municipality of Kilkis to commemorate the 108th anniversary of the breakup of the Macedonian Front. Representing the government and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Kalafatis laid a wreath at the Monument to the Fallen following a memorial service at the Allied Monument.

During his address, Kalafatis highlighted the historical significance of the Macedonian Front as a critical turning point in World War I that impacted both Macedonia and Europe. He emphasized that peace, cooperation, and mutual respect are not guaranteed goods but achievements requiring constant effort and defense. He noted that the Greek government aims to remain an active participant in regional developments rather than a mere observer.
