Stavros Niarchos Foundation hospitals scheduled for 2027 completion
Construction of three new hospitals funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in Thessaloniki, Komotini, and Sparta is progressing, with completion and handover scheduled for the end of 2027.
The projects, part of the foundation’s International Health Initiative, are expected to cost more than €500 million combined. Current work is shifting focus toward electromechanical systems, medical equipment, IT infrastructure, rooftop solar installations, and landscaping.
Designed in collaboration with architect Renzo Piano, the facilities aim to improve regional access to high-quality healthcare and establish new standards within Greece’s National Health System. The AVAX Group is managing construction, while Hill International provides project management.
