Stavros Theodorakis discusses move to SKAI and departure from Alpha

Journalist Stavros Theodorakis has addressed his departure from Alpha TV and his move to SKAI during an appearance on the program ‘Studio tis 3’. Regarding his exit from Alpha, Theodorakis stated that he felt deeply hurt when his show’s broadcast time was changed two or three times in a single year without his consultation.

He emphasized the personal dedication required for television production, noting that creators invest significant parts of themselves and work through many nights to produce content. He expressed a desire for networks to show more care and interest in the work of their presenters.

Theodorakis also clarified that he will no longer engage in politics or the culinary field, describing his previous involvement in politics as a secondary role intended to serve society. His current professional focus remains on his new show ‘Protagonistes’ on SKAI, his columns in Kathimerini, and his podcasts.
