Composer Stavros Xarchakos has publicly demanded the immediate removal of a political advertisement that used his music without authorization. Xarchakos clarified through social media posts that he has a long-standing and conscious policy of not granting permission for his works to be used by any political party, faction, or individual.

While the composer did not initially name the specific entity, reports indicate the music was used in a political spot associated with Stefanos Kasselakis and the Democrats party. Xarchakos emphasized that any unauthorized use of his work does not imply his political support or affiliation.

Following the composer's strong reaction and demand for respect for his position, the political spot was subsequently withdrawn from social media platforms.
