Stazzema expands door-to-door waste collection to mountain hamlets

The Municipality of Stazzema will expand its door-to-door waste collection service to the hamlets of Retignano, Levigliani, Terrinca, and Arni starting October 12. Managed by Ersu, the service is designed for historic mountain centers; in narrow alleys where vehicles cannot reach, operators will collect waste on foot to ensure service directly in front of homes.

This expansion aims to increase the municipal recycling rate, which currently stands at approximately 50%. The new system will also replace street containers to improve urban decorum. Public meetings will be held by the administration and Ersu to explain the new procedures to citizens and coordinate with local businesses.
