stc group and Astranis partner for Saudi Arabia satellite connectivity

stc group and Astranis have announced an agreement to deploy a dedicated satellite to enhance connectivity across Saudi Arabia. The satellite, part of Astranis’ Block 3 series, is scheduled to launch in 2026 and will provide enterprise-grade connectivity to stc group’s networks by 2027.

The partnership allows stc group to maintain full authority over payload configuration, coverage, and in-region data security. This investment aims to add a layer of redundancy to the Kingdom’s existing fiber network and strengthen national digital infrastructure.
