STCP expands electric bus fleet with 30 new vehicles

STCP (Sociedade de Transportes Colectivos do Porto) has begun operating 30 new 100% electric buses, representing a total investment of approximately 12 million euros. This expansion brings the company's total zero-emission fleet to 126 vehicles, accounting for roughly 28% of its operations.

The investment was funded through a combination of 7 million euros from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and 5 million euros from shareholder municipalities. The new Caetano Bus vehicles feature a range of approximately 320 kilometers and are intended to replace aging units in the fleet, serving Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Matosinhos, Maia, Valongo, and Gondomar.
