Steam hosts new free demos for DEEPWARD and Haunted Paws

Several new indie game titles have released free demos on Steam.

DEEPWARD, developed by Echofall Games, is a first-person horror FPS that blends elements of survival horror with fast-paced combat. The game features a roguelite structure where players manage a squad of six heroes, though only three can participate in a single expedition. A key mechanic allows players to switch between characters instantly during combat to utilize different abilities or save wounded heroes. The game features permanent death for characters and is scheduled for a PC release in the first quarter of 2027.

Haunted Paws is a detective adventure game featuring an adorable aesthetic paired with supernatural mystery themes. The game focuses on investigation and light mystery rather than intense horror. Following its Steam demo release, the title is planned for consoles, including PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2.
