Steam locomotive ‘39 Grande’ travels through Brandsen
The historic Vulcan Foundry 12E N°3925 steam locomotive, popularly known as ‘39 Grande’, traveled through Brandsen on Thursday. The 1927-manufactured engine, currently owned by the Ferroclub Argentino de Remedios de Escalada, made a technical stop at the Coronel Brandsen station to refill water before continuing its journey toward Dolores.
This visit follows similar successful trips to the area last year. The locomotive is part of a series of historical rail efforts, including the recent acquisition and restoration of the ‘Elefante Blanco’, a presidential train from 1910.
