Eberhofer series returns with tenth film Steckerlfischfiasko

The tenth installment of the popular Eberhofer crime comedy series, ‘Steckerlfischfiasko’, is set for a nationwide theatrical release in Germany on August 13, 2026. Based on the bestsellers by Rita Falk, the film follows village policeman Franz Eberhofer (Sebastian Bezzel) and his associate Rudi Birkenberger (Simon Schwarz) as they investigate the murder of a local ‘Steckerlfisch king’ at a golf club.

The film’s world premiere recently took place in Munich, featuring the main cast and director Ed Herzog. The plot involves tensions between rival festival clans and personal challenges for the characters, including Susi (Lisa Maria Potthoff) pursuing a mayoral campaign.
