SteelFab expands Fayetteville facility with multi-million dollar investment

SteelFab, Inc., a national steel fabricator, has announced a significant expansion of its facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The project involves an investment of approximately $19 million to $22 million and will add between 38 and 42 new jobs to the company’s Cumberland County operations.

The expansion will increase the facility’s footprint by roughly 108,000 to 129,000 square feet, including new fabrication and prep bays, shape lines, and office space. The new positions are expected to have an average salary of nearly $70,000, bringing the company’s total local employment to approximately 125 to 130 people.

To support the project, the state of North Carolina is providing a performance-based grant of up to $125,000. Previous support included $691,000 in grants from Fayetteville and Cumberland County. The expansion follows a rezoning process where the company reduced its request from 123 acres to 61 acres to address resident concerns regarding conservation land.
