SteelSeries launches Sensei Pro and Rival Pro wireless gaming mice

SteelSeries has announced the launch of its new Sensei Pro and Rival Pro wireless gaming mouse series, marking the company’s 25th anniversary. The lineup includes four models: the symmetrical Sensei Pro and the ergonomic Rival Pro, both available in standard and Mini sizes.

A key technological shift is the move from the congested 2.4 GHz band to Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, operating between 6.4 GHz and 9.056 GHz. This provides approximately 20 times more bandwidth, enabling a stable 8,000 Hz polling rate with reduced latency and smoother cursor movement. To manage the high power demands of 8K polling, the mice feature the Infinite Power System, which utilizes hot-swappable batteries. Users can swap a depleted battery for a charged one from the wireless base station to ensure uninterrupted gameplay.

The mice are designed for competitive play, weighing between 49g and 54g depending on the model and color. They are equipped with the TrueMove 42K optical sensor and optical switches rated for 100 million clicks. The Sensei Pro and Rival Pro are priced at $179.99, with pre-orders beginning September 29 and a market release scheduled for October 13.
