Stefan Andonovski promotes North Macedonia tech investments at BELTALKS 2026

At the BELTALKS 2026 economic forum in Belgrade, North Macedonia’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, highlighted the country's growing opportunities for high-tech and artificial intelligence investments. Andonovski noted that North Macedonia experienced a GDP growth of 3.7 percent in the first half of 2026 and 4.3 percent in the second quarter, driven in part by investments in the ICT industry and technology.

During a panel discussion titled ‘Building an Economy Based on Artificial Intelligence: Data, Infrastructure, and Competitiveness,’ the Minister emphasized the goal of attracting capital, diverse knowledge, and companies to develop data centers and technological firms. The forum, organized by GLOBSEC, included participants such as Serbian National Assembly President Ana Brnabic and other regional economic leaders, focusing on positioning the Western Balkans as a hub for innovation and digital infrastructure.
