Stefan Horngacher and Kamil Stoch join Polish ski jumping team

Stefan Horngacher has returned to Poland to serve as the training coordinator for the Polish Ski Association (PZN). After six years coaching the German national team, Horngacher accepted an offer involving Adam Małysz to oversee all training groups. Apoloniusz Tajner, president of the PZN, noted that Horngacher has become more experienced and decisive in his coaching approach.

In addition to Horngacher, Kamil Stoch has joined the staff in an advisory and mentoring role to support younger athletes. Tajner revealed that while the offer was made quickly, Stoch took time to consider the position before officially beginning the collaboration in September.

Regarding athlete performance, Horngacher commented on Piotr Żyła’s current form following the Polish Summer Championships. While acknowledging that Żyła is not currently at his peak, Horngacher stated he is working closely with the veteran jumper to manage his specific training needs, allowing other coaches to focus on the rest of the team.
