Stefan Horngacher Returns to Poland as Ski Jumping Training Coordinator
Austrian former German national coach Stefan Horngacher has re‑joined the Polish Ski Jumping Federation (PZN) as a training coordinator, a role distinct from head coach. He previously led the Polish team from 2016 to 2019 and now oversees the training system while also conducting some practice sessions.
Polish ski‑jumping star Kacper Tomasiak praised Horngacher’s extensive knowledge, saying his input has been “a great help” and that the coaches are working well together. Tomasiak highlighted several unconventional drills introduced by Horngacher, such as wearing cross‑country ski clothing on a small hill to improve flight feeling and control.
The new training methods are being tested ahead of the upcoming FIS Summer Grand Prix, set to start the first weekend of August in Wisła, Poland.
