Stefan Krajewski Reviews Year of Polish Farm Policy

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski held a one‑year review in Czyżew Ruś‑Wieś, Podlaskie, outlining the ministry’s achievements. He cited 17 new laws, 128 regulations, the opening of the Agro Terminal in Gdańsk, higher premiums for the “Young Farmer” program and other measures aimed at easing the sector’s challenges, including climate‑related issues.

Later, Krajewski met farmers at a VeggieFresh farm in Suchej Wola, Oleszyce, where participants complained about rising input costs, low grain prices and competition from cheap imports. Attendees called for biogas plants in each gmina, flexible fertilizer deadlines, and increased financial support for young farm operators. The minister pledged to forward the concerns to the ministry for further action.
