Stefan Mross Criticised Over ARD Exit and Gala Cancellation

Stefan Mross, the long‑time host of ARD’s folk‑music programme "Immer wieder sonntags," was taken by surprise when the broadcaster announced the show’s termination after more than 20 years on air. Mross publicly complained that the decision was handled without empathy, describing the separation as unfair.

In a separate incident, the organiser of the Gala Night of Spitzenweine in Bad Neuenahr‑Ahr accused Mross of unprofessional conduct after he withdrew from the event just eleven hours before it started, blocked further contact, and offered no explanation. The organiser, Andreas Lambeck of Ahrtal Marketing, called the behaviour “karma” and criticised the lack of reliability.

Mross has not responded to either the ARD criticism or the gala organizer’s accusations, and a commentator has also voiced sharp criticism of his comments about the broadcaster.
