Stefan Mross seeks new TV projects after ‘Immer wieder sonntags’ cancellation

Following the conclusion of the long-running German music program ‘Immer wieder sonntags’, host Stefan Mross is exploring new television opportunities. The show, which Mross moderated for 21 years, is set to end in 2026 due to budget cuts and a shift toward digital formats by SWR and ARD.

Despite the cancellation, there are efforts to preserve the format. Roland Mack, founder of Europa-Park—the venue that has hosted the show since 1995—has expressed significant interest in finding a way to continue the successful program in some form. Mross has also recently appeared on ‘The Masked Singer’ as ‘Hippo Jones’, signaling his continued presence in the media landscape.

Other figures in the Schlager music scene, including singer Michelle and Matthias Reim, have also been in the news regarding personal updates and critiques of current musical trends.
