He recalled the moment he learned of the crime, noting that the phone call from his brother was the most difficult part. The victims were shot ten times in their home by the cousin's former partner. An Austrian court subsequently sentenced the perpetrator to life imprisonment.

Mross reflected on the lasting impact on his family, particularly his mother, who lost her sister and niece. Despite the violence, Mross stated he does not seek revenge or support the death penalty, expressing that the perpetrator should simply remain imprisoned.
