Thailand has confirmed the schedule for the royal funeral ceremonies of the late Queen Mother Sirikit. The five-day event is set to take place from December 15 to December 19 in Bangkok.

The ceremonies will be held at various locations, including the Grand Palace and the Sanam Luang ceremonial ground, where a temporary royal crematorium is being constructed. The official proceedings will begin on December 15 with a merit-making ceremony at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall. The central cremation ceremony is scheduled for December 16 at 4:30 PM.

Following the cremation, the royal relics and ashes will be collected on December 17 and transferred to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The final ceremonies will conclude on December 19, after which the royal ashes will be enshrined at Wat Ratchabophit and Wat Bowonniwet Vihara. The entire program will be broadcast live to allow the public to participate in the mourning process.
